Global Experts – Energy Consulting stands for a highly motivated and continuously growing team of qualified experts. The company is led by Holger Lichtschläger and Dr. Armin Ardone, who together have more than 40 years of experience in the energy industry.
Holger Lichtschläger
Managing Director
Holger is the Managing Director and Founder of Global Experts – Energy Consulting. He started his professional life in 1996 and provides a strong consultancy background as well as an inside view of the energy industry. Holger has held various executive positions since 2002 within E.ON / Uniper, where he was responsible for providing commodity price forecasts and in-depth market analyses as a key component of E.ON’s / Uniper’s strategic and investment decisions. In his executive role, he has put a strong focus on commodity markets and shows broad expertise in fundamental market analysis as well as in energy trading and strategic consultancy. Prior to joining E.ON in 2000, Holger worked as a Strategic Consultant for KPMG and for VEAG Vereinigte Energiewerke AG in the area of Resource Planning.
Dr. Armin Ardone
Partner
Armin is a Partner at Global Experts – Energy Consulting and in particular responsible for the area of price forecasts and market analyses of the European power markets.
After his academic career, specializing in energy system analysis, Armin started his professional career in 1998 as a consultant and solution developer for Fichtner Engineering, supporting utilities within the area of deregulation. He joined PreussenElectra/ E.ON-Energie in 2000 and soon took over responsibility for the European Market Analysis team. Following his promotion and move to E.ON’s headquarters in 2009, his responsibilities additionally included the areas of global power and carbon markets covering all time horizons. Since leaving E.ON in 2015, he is leading a team concentrating on distributed energy systems and networks at the KIT (Univ. of Karlsruhe) focusing on the future/smart elements of energy markets and their impacts.
